Plague Soldier Beetle

Chauliognathus lugubris or Chauliognathus pulchellus, doing their bit to preserve the species. They were fairly common that week in Uranquinty, but not in the plague proportions that sometimes earns them their common name. Useful predators of aphids and other garden pests.
